So we had this pool

one of those Easy-Set kind that sets itself up as it fills with water. It was 12 ft. x 3 ft. , not much at all really, but it was just big enough that I could get in with the kids and not quite take up all their playing room. They would get in everyday if they could and while Peanut was ready to get out after an hour at most, Sissy would stay in until I made her get out. So I would sit outside watching them swim, occasionally hopping in to cool off, letting all housework go undone -( but this time with good reason -- I can't leave my kids alone in a pool, for heaven's sake) and working on what was going to be my best tan in years. And then it happened. I walked outside one afternoon and it was deflated. Apparently one side had collapsed and the water had spilled out taking the pool down with it. I think it may have had to do with the ground not being level because we didn't find a hole anywhere in it. I think we're going to try to level the ground and put it back up after we see how much the water bill went up the first time we filled it.

i have one of the same pools. the problem i have is keeping it from turning green which is nearly impossible. this means i refilled it 5 or 6 times this summer. my bill went from $40 to $60 to $104. but it is worth it to beat this exhausting heat PLUS its a free tan.

I didn't update my blog but we did put ours back up in July and have used it ever since. We haven't had green water problems but it does turn a little cloudy sometimes. You're right it is the only way we could stand to be outside some days.
