Totally Random, Slightly Nerdy, but the Wow Factor is Huge......

Go to http://www.livingearth.com/ . Click on the Interactive Earth in the upper right corner and you will be taken to a real time satellite photo of Earth as it appears from the moon. The coolest thing is you can actually see by clicking on different parts of the photo, where on Earth it's daylight and where it's night at the current time. There's an update button below the photo. I've left the page up on my computer all day before, hitting the update button every couple of hours to track the sun's progress across the country. What's really surreal is going to this website while it's still dark out, and being aware of the growing daylight outside while watching the bigger picture of daylight crossing this part of the globe. There are also settings you can tweak and look at the photo different ways. Absolutely amazing. Or maybe it's just me : )
