Brother has always been a larger-than-life hero to both the girls. They think every grown-up
thing he does is in the upper realm of coolness. When he went to high school, they would speak in reverent tones of "Brother's school". When he started driving, their adoration of him spiked even higher.
Then he started working at McDonald's.
Now, I'm afraid their relationship has reached full-blown idolatry. After all, he knows what the Happy Meal toy is every week.
Today Sissy and I were sitting in that fine establishment, waiting for him to clock out. I don't know what the rules are there, but apparently certain things have to be done before Brother can leave. Like there can be no customers in the drive-thru lane. Or maybe that's just what it seemed like because we waited so long.
Sissy entertained me though, with her running commentary as we waited and watched .
Ooh look Mommy, now he's making french fries. Let's watch him.
What's that thing with the buttons, he's wearing on his head?
Do you think he's having fun Mommy? I bet he is. It LOOKS like fun.
When I grow up I want to work at McDonald's.
Which one do you think is the boss Mommy?
Do you think it's her?
Look, now he's taking the trash out.
Wow, they have a lot of trash cans.
She and Peanut also talk often of how "cute " Brother looks in his uniform .
And I really have to agree with them there.

That was cute. I can understand about them idolizing their big brother. Even though mine are grown now (25 and 20) my daughter thinks the world of her big brother, rocker dude.
That's sweet! How totally cool for a kid to have a big brother who works at McDonalds!!
Isn't it? And I forgot to write that we went through his drive-thru before we went in, cause I knew she'd get a kick out of it.
When he handed her her drink through the window, you'd have thought she just shook the hand of Elvis.
Kathy I can imagine how cool your daughter thinks her brother is. Heck, I'd like to have a rocker dude brother myself!
Thier admiration of thier older brother is precious.
