I'm trying to keep a list of what the girls have read for the Pizza Hut Book-It program, as well as just having it for school records. I thought this might be a fun way to do it rather than just a list on paper.
Space and budget limit the size of my home library, so the majority of new books the girls have read in the last couple of years have come from the public library.
Some current favorites :
Favorite Medieval Tales and Medieval Feast -
these were read-alouds that follow our Middle Ages study
Look What I Can Do With a Leaf -
a different way of using fall leaves in artwork - this was fun change, seems all we ever do are crayon rubbings and painted leaf prints
The girls also love the Magic Treehouse books and always ask for them
when we go to the library.
Look, no Junie B.! That's because last library trip I just said 'no' because there were so many others we wanted. We're making another trip this week so I'm sure we'll make up for it. My goal is to steer them toward really good books without seeming to make a big deal out of it. Not there yet.
Busy day ahead, which is why I keep writing in sentence fragments.
Probably won't be back on until tomorrow.
